Robert Murphy was born May 5, 1971 in Nacogdoches, Texas. He was saved June, 1977, and was licensed to preach in August, 1995.

Brother Murphy has attended Jacksonville College, Angelina College, Tyler Junior College and the Baptist Missionary Association Theological Seminary in Jacksonville, Texas. He married Connie Michelle Murphy on May 23, 1992. They have two children, Jamin and Jesse.

The Murphys were elected as missionaries to the Philippines in April, 2002, and moved to the Philippines in September of the same year.
